NYC & Company launched a new marketing campaign aimed at encouraging New York City tourism, but its target audience isn’t who you’d expect. As New York City’s official marketing and tourism organization, their goal for the campaign is to get residents to explore their city more. ?
“For the world, it’s the trip of a lifetime,” they say. “For you it’s a subway ride away?.” The See Your City campaign focuses on two neighborhoods from each of the five boroughs and uses vintage-style travel posters and a series of videos to champion the merits of each area.
The Bronx is represented by Arthur Avenue and Van Cortland Park, Brooklyn brings you to Carrol Gardens and Dumbo, Manhattan is all about Harlem and Hell’s Kitchen, Queens spotlights Jackson Heights and Long Island City, and Staten Island is represented by St. George and the Staten Island Greenbelt.
The campaign is sponsored by American Express and in addition to their suggested must-sees and must-dos, American Express is offering exclusive deals to cardholders throughout the boroughs.
