Thanks to their iconic cover art, relentless punning and overall cheesy greatness, a generation of horror fans will always have a fond place in their hearts for R.L. Stine’s Goosebumps books. But for all their charms, Stine’s kiddie creepfests just can’t compete with the chills offered by more adult fare like Rosemary’s Baby or The Shining. Unless, of course, you combine the two, which is just what Theodore Holmstead-Scott and Jude Deluca did for their project If I Were Stine.
Since last year, If I Were Stine has been offering unholy mashups of the beloved children’s books and equally beloved, far less child-friendly, horror movies, complete with their own artlessly literal titles like Creepy Cars and Fly-Man Fever. You can check out some of our favorites above (and try to identify their source material) or see them all on Tumblr.
