Sure, the internet is carrying humanity towards the future, but it also connects us with our past. It’s an anachronistic wonderland that allows you to play old videogames without rummaging through a Goodwill or an attic.
Now, the selection is even broader with the Internet Archive’s latest expansion. Cue the nostalgia.
Over the weekend, The digital library expanded its gaming platform with the launch of the Internet Arcade, which features more than 900 classic arcade games that are all in one place—no sketchy websites, no emulators, no nonsense.
At the moment, the arcade is undergoing some maintenance, most likely because tons of people are navigating to the new installment. While you’re waiting, check out the Internet Archive’s Console Living Room and satisfy your inner ‘80s or ‘90s kid.
