is turning 5 next year, and it’s ready to celebrate early.
The festival has announced the first round of its 2015 lineup, which will feature more than 80 bands when all are announced—headliners include Generationals, San Fermin and Diarrhea Planet, with more national and local acts to be announced in the winter. Savannah Stopover has also announced its festival dates—it will run from March 5-7 in downtown Savannah, one of the South’s most iconic areas.
3-Day Early Bird Tickets are now available for $65 via TicketFly. And yes, the festival started as a sort of pit stop for bands on the way to SXSW in Austin, Texas, but now that it’s growing up, Savannah Stopover is really coming into its own.
For those in the area, Stopover is throwing a series of events.
The first, at Southbound Brewing Company on Nov. 21, will feature performances by Futurebirds, This Mountain and Amythyst Kiah, and it will also mark the release of a limited edition Futurebirds beer. On Jan. 16, the final lineup and schedule of bands will be announced at the Sched Party, which includes acts by River Whyless and Family & Friends.
Here’s to many more anniversaries, Savannah Stopover.
