Sierra Leone may have already been eliminated from the upcoming African Cup of Nations (having only secured one point in the qualifying process). However, on Friday afternoon, the Leone Stars, as a team, registered an immediate candidate for goal of the year.

During the side’s match against the Ivory Coast, who went on to win the encounter 5-1, Sierra Leone striker Mustapha Bangoura volleyed home an excellent finish. More notably, he did so after the ball traveled over 30 yards, was touched by three different players (one twice), and never hit the ground a single time.
