Similar to their movie counterparts, movie posters are most interesting when they’re trying something new.
So it’s not surprising that the movie posters that made our 2014 list were ones that managed to break away from the over used cliches-actors in a line, floating head syndrome and the rom-com favorite: back to back-and instead explored new territory. Whether it was the unexpected use of collage in horror movie 24 Exposures or the interesting type placement in Signals, they managed to be more memorable than their uninspired peers. Any of these would be welcome additions to our walls.
Here’s our collection of the best movie posters of 2014.
