AB InBev continues its plan to buy pieces of the craft beer industry with its latest purchase of Elysian Brewing Company. The Seattle-based Elysian has been a staple of the craft beer world for the last 20 years, and is known best for its Immortal IPA. Anheuser Busch’s purchase includes Elysian’s production brewery as well as its four brewpubs. The amount of the purchase has not been disclosed, according to a press release posted on All About Beer.
AB InBev is fresh off of its purchase of 10 Barrel Brewing this past fall, and adds Elysian to a growing line of craft beer buyouts. It’s unclear as to whether or not AB InBev will continue to produce Elysian’s Loser Ale, which carries the tagline “Corporate Beer Still Sucks.”
