Death Cab for Cutie Reveal Title and Track List for New Album

Nearly four years after the release of the Grammy-nominated Codes and Keys, Death Cab for Cutie have revealed that their new album, titled Kintsugi, will arrive on March 31.

The album’s title is inspired by the Japanese art of repairing broken ceramics with precious metals to accentuate the damage rather than disguising it. When discussing the title, bassist Nick Harmer said of Kintsugi, “Philosophically, spiritually, emotionally, it seems perfect for this group of songs.” Following the departure of Chris Walla from the band last year, this will be Death Cab for Cutie’s first release without the founding guitarist/keyboardist/producer, although he still appears on the album’s tracks.

You can view the track list for Kintsugi below.

1. “No Room in Frame”
2. “Black Sun”
3. “The Ghosts of Beverly Drive”
4. “Little Wanderer”
5. “You’ve Haunted Me All My Life”
6. “Hold No Guns”
7. “Everything’s a Ceiling”
8. “Good Help (Is So Hard to Find)”
9. “El Dorado”
10. “Ingénue”
