Concepción Studios may be best known for designing band posters and album art, but a newish series takes on Wes Anderson movies. Like many of Concepción’s creations, the prints are reminiscent of a time-worn Penguin paperback, complete with muted colors, an ultra-minimalist design, and a few well-placed scuffs and stains.
The Royal Tenenbaums is represented by a tennis court, Rushmore is Max Fischer’s honeycomb, The Life Aquatic is Steve Zissou’s submarine, and The Grand Budapest Hotel is an abstract mountain range. The studio also designed a black-and-white Moonrise Kingdom print that features silhouette portraits of Suzy and Sam.
This isn’t Concepción’s first foray into movie posters. They’ve also taken on Star Wars, Mad Max, and The Goonies. You can see them all on the studio’s Etsy shop.
