The massive World of Beer franchise is unveiling a new program that showcases the beer pub’s “exceptional collection of Old World and New World pilsners.” Starting on Monday (Feb. 16), all 70 World of Beer locations will host a four-week “Journey Through Pilsners” event, where drinkers can explore the nuances of this crisp beer style through two special flights poured through a “fountain tap,” which is common in the Czech Republic. The first flight focuses on variations of Pilsner Urquell, the original Czech brewed golden pilsner, the second flight features pilsner variations from around the world. Drink both flights and you can enter to win a trip to the Pilsner Urquell Brewery in the Czech Republic.
During the four-week period, World Of Beer will also tap Weihenstephaner German Pilsner (say that three times fast), which is a pilsner from the world’s oldest brewery. They’ll also tap Pilsner Urquell’s unfiltered, unpasteurized pilsner—a beer that’s typically only available in the Czech Republic.
Beer school sessions and local pilsner tappings round out the four-week Pils jam. Check out World of Beer for more.
