With The Tonight Show in its old home of Los Angeles for the week, Jimmy Fallon has been having some fun flashing back to his origins. To kick off the weeklong residency, Fallon opened Monday’s show with a Fresh Prince-style intro about why the show was taking a trip to the West coast. The ‘90s-flavored flashbacks would continue last night as Fallon reunited the cast of Saved by the Bell.
Zack (Mark-Paul Gosselaar), Kelly (Tiffani-Amber Thiessen), Slater (Mario Lopez) and Jessie (Elizabeth Berkley) are all there as Fallon breaks the news that he’s leaving Bayside High to pursue a comedy career in New York. High-school Fallon is quite prophetic, stating that he hopes to be on Saturday Night Live, and maybe host his own talk show. Mr. Belding (Dennis Haskins) even shows up to wish Fallon well. Screech (Dustin Diamond), sadly, was absent.
