Magic Mike is back. And this time he’s bigger and better then ever. Fans freaked yesterday when Channing Tatum tweeted Magic Mike XXL’s first movie poster, with the caption “Look, but you can’t touch … until tomorrow”. The 90-second trailer for the sequel to Magic Mike was then revealed when Tatum visited The Ellen Degeneres Show.
Opening with Tatum welding while dancing (his impressive moves leave no room for dispute that he is one hell of a dancer), all to the pulsing beat of Ginuwine’s “Pony”, the trailer goes on to show various clips of the antics the group of (shirtless) strippers, which include previous cast members Matt Bomer, Joe Manganiello and Alex Pettyfer. The party-charged trailer states, “This summer, get back to the grind” and after a slow motion clip of the dancers, cheekily throws in a “You’re welcome.” Along with new cast member Amber Heard as Tatum’s possible love interest, Jada Pinkett Smith, Stephen “tWitch” Boss and Michael Strahan are also new additions to the comedy, which was co-written by Tatum and Reid Carolin, and set to release in July 2015.
