You Can Now Play Cards Against Humanity Online and On Your Phone for Free

Imagine a scenario where you want to play a game of Cards Against Humanity, only it’s a weekday and everyone else would rather rest at home than play a politically incorrect version of Apples to Apples. What is a person to do? Now you can simply get online and invite friends to join in from the comfort of their couch.

A new site called Cards Against Originality has posted electronic versions of the cards from the original game plus an additional five expansion packs. Players simply tap the cards to reveal the texts. By pressing the “new game” button you can send an invitation out to a closed set of friends and ask them to play as well. It’s all online and free. And although the game is not available through the app store, it can be added to the home screen of your phone or tablet device.

Now, we know what you’re thinking, “Why would I play this online when it’s in clear violation of copyright laws and will be taken down anyway?” Well, we’ve done some researching, and it seems that Cards Against Humanity is available under the Creative Commons BY-NC-SA 2.0 license. This means that the game may be copied and redistributed as well as remixed, transformed and built upon for free—which would seem to protect the creator of this phone-based version.

In order to get dirty with your friends, visit the official Cards Against Originality website.
