Comedy fans rejoice! Fathom Events and Comedy Dynamics will be presenting an event honoring one of the great comedic voices with “Comedy Dynamics Presents: Bill Hicks,” in select U.S. theaters. The screening takes place Monday, April 27 at 8:00 pm and contains 90 minutes of content and extras from Hicks’ stand-up special Relentless. It also includes previously unseen clips from other stand-up routines, with context provided by Hicks’ brother, Steve, along with home videos.

Hicks was widely recognized as one of the greatest stand-up comics, proving to be hugely influential and before-his-time. He recorded Relentless in 1992, with classic bits about non-smokers, musicians who don’t use drugs and the Gulf War effort.

“Working with the Hicks legacy is an honor for all of us at Comedy Dynamics and we are thrilled to partner with Fathom Events to bring his work to the big screen,” stated Brian Volk-Weiss, president of production at Comedy Dynamics.

Kymberli Frueh-Owens, Fathom Events VP of programming, commented, “This late, great comedian truly set the bar for modern stand-up and was an influential creative force behind many of today’s most popular comedians. Even decades after his passing, this comedic genius is still lauded.”

“Comedy Dynamics Presents: Bill Hicks” takes place the day before Comedy Dynamics will also be re-releasing Hicks’ entire audio discography and video catalog, along with previously unheard material.

You can get more information about which theaters are participating and buy tickets at the Fathom Events website.
