The competition between Mexican(ish) chain restaurants just got even spicier. Just a couple weeks ago, Taco Bell announced plans to begin testing a delivery service in the Houston area. Chipotle, however, is skipping straight to offering a delivery service in 67 cities so far.
First We Feast reports that the Mexican grill chain has signed a deal with with the delivery service Postmates and they’ve already begun offering delivery for online and mobile orders.
Of course, the incredible convenience of getting Chipotle burritos and the like delivered right to your door is going to come at a much higher price than just ordering in the restaurant. A customer in New York City stated that he attempted to order an $8 burrito, which ended up costing $20 after the delivery charge and service fees.
