Comedy Dynamics has been working hard to re-introduce legendary stand-up comic Bill Hicks to a new audience, with the latest step being a Reddit AMA with Bill’s brother, Steve Hicks, who runs the Hicks estate. The online interview will take place on Friday, April 24 at 5 pm EST and you can keep an eye out for it here.

Comedy Dynamics is working with Fathom Events on Comedy Dynamics Presents: Bill Hicks, in U.S. theaters for one night only on Monday, April 27 at 8 pm, featuring Hicks’ stand-up special Relentless, along with extra content. You can get information about the event and buy tickets here.

Hicks was widely recognized as one of the greatest stand-up comics, utilizing his anger and sharpness to critique society and consumerism, eventually proving himself to be hugely influential and before-his-time. He recorded Relentless in 1992, with classic bits about non-smokers, musicians who don’t use drugs and the Gulf War effort.

The screening takes place the day before Comedy Dynamics also re-releases Hicks’ entire audio discography and video catalog, along with previously unheard material.

It’s gearing up to be one busy couple of weeks for Hicks’ legacy, but anything that bring more attention and fans to the comedians who left us too soon is something we can get behind.
