Beloved children’s novel The Little Prince has finally been made into a feature film by director Mark Osborne (Kung Fu Panda). The film’s international trailer was released online today, revealing a unique visual style that’s sure to delight fans of the novel.
Based on the 1943 novel by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, the film centers on a child prodigy (Mackenzie Foy) who moves with her mother (Rachel McAdams) to a new neighborhood and meets an eccentric old man called “the Aviator” (Jeff Bridges). Through the Aviator, she discovers the story of “The Little Prince” (Riley Osborne), about a pilot who crashes in the desert where he meets the prince of a distant planet. The girl and Aviator have an extraordinary adventure together as they explore the tale.
The Little Prince
opens July 29 in France at Cannes and also features the voices of Paul Rudd, James Franco, Marion Cotillard, Ricky Gervais, Benicio Del Toro, Albert Brooks and Paul Giamatti.
