Mumford & Sons
are asking fans to leave their cellphones at home for an upcoming concert in Brighton.
The show, a last-minute addition taking place at Brighton Dome Corn Exchange April 27, is set to feature tracks from the band’s upcoming album, with the phone ban as a way to prevent song leaks.
“As this show is happening pre-album release, the band have requested all mobile phone and recording devices to be prohibited inside the venue,” Mumford & Sons released in a message to fans registered on their mailing list.
However, for those who may need to bring their phones to the venue, the band has asked fans to arrive an hour before the show to hand them in and leave time after to show the retrieve them.
Mumford & Sons
have previously banned phones from two shows in London and a concert in New York.
The band’s latest effort, Wilder Mind, is set for release May 4.
