This past Sunday, New Yorkers from across the five boroughs congregated at Brooklyn’s Industrial City to attend the second annual Bloody Mary Festival (hosted by the only political party that Paste Drink supports: The Bloody Mary Liberation Party). It’s a not-so-secret fact that NYC yupsters love their brunch—specifically, bottomless brunch—so it’s all-too-fitting that there exists a celebration of their renowned brunch drink of choice (sorry mimosas).
To honor this drink properly, some of the greatest cocktail-wizened minds in the Big Apple came together to showcase their prowess in the way of the Bloody Mary. Garnishes added flair; tomato juice and Worcestershire sauce filled plastic cups alongside Ketel One Vodka; and classics and wacky concoctions duked it out for the best NYC Bloody Mary. We went down to see what drinks reigned supreme. Check them out in the gallery. And keep an eye out for upcoming Bloody Mary Festival in Washington D.C. and San Francisco.
