Netflix Releases Second Season Trailer for BoJack Horseman

Everyone’s favorite washed up horse celebrity is back! Netflix has released a trailer for the second season of BoJack Horseman.

If you’re unfamiliar with the series, it’s an adult animated show about a horse named BoJack, taking place in a world where humans and anthropomorphic animals co-exist. He’s a ’90s has-been, most famous for his old sitcom show Horsin’ Around. The series focuses on him trying to revitalize his career.

BoJack is voiced by Will Arnett, who seems to have a knack for humorously portraying washed-up jerks. So imagine if his Arrested Development character Gob was an acting horse instead of a magician and you get an idea of what BoJack’s character is like. He’s worth watching because he’s a terrible person, but he doesn’t want to be. He’s a sad character and that’s where a lot of his humor comes from, revealing further character depth as the series progresses.

The second season seems to pick up right where the first season left off. BoJack got his dream role as Secratariat and is trying to be happy, but it looks like he’s easily on edge trying to keep a positive attitude. Lisa Kudrow is new to the cast, voicing an owl whom BoJack seems to be in some sort of a relationship with. Old characters are back including Diane, Todd and BoJack’s lovable acting rival, Mr. Peanutbutter (he’s a dog).

All episodes of Season 2 will be released for streaming July 17 on Netflix.
