Charlie Parr has long been celebrated for his raw songwriting and classic approach to country blues around his hometown of Duluth, Minnesota, and it’s garnered him some pretty talented fans. For his latest album, Stumpjumper, Parr took a trip to North Carolina to record with longtime friend Phil Cook, whose work with Megafaun and Hiss Golden Messenger makes him no stranger to strong songwriting and deft instrumentals. Now, Cook has written and narrated a short trailer for the album, put together with footage shot around Duluth by Cook, Maxwell McGruder and Adam Heathcott.
“I’m so very thankful that fate brought Charlie and I together,” said Cook. “I think we were destined to make this record from the moment we met 12 years ago.”
