Netflix is taking its new series south of the border with a serial drama on Pablo Escobar, the infamous Colombian drug kingpin, and the US drug enforcement team who sought to bring him down.
Narcos focuses on the true story of Medellin Cartel and their the rampant spread of cocaine around the globe in the ’80s. It will center on Pablo Escobar and a Mexican DEA agent sent on a U.S. mission to capture and kill him.
This is Netflix’s ninth original series in the past two and a half years since they streamed their first series, House of Cards.
Narcos premieres Aug. 28.
