Song Premiere: The Wood Brothers - "Singin' To Strangers"

Text

Performing together as The Wood Brothers, Chris and Oliver Wood have long been mainstays on the Americana circuit, with their breakout 2006 album Ways Not To Lose gave way to several beloved releases. Now, the band has announced Paradise, a forthcoming full-length recorded at Dan Auerbach’s East Eye Sound Studios. Notably more of a rock-tinged effort than most of their previous work, the band maintains the strong connection with one another and their listeners that has won such acclaim over the last decade.

“Performing songs for a crowd of strangers can make everyone in the room feel like a part of something bigger than themselves,” says Chris. “The audience and the performer get the feeling they’ve known each other all along. For many of us, music is the only way to feel that kind of ecstatic connection.”

Paradise is set for release on Oct. 2 via Honey Jar Records/Thirty Tigers. Stream album track “Singin’ To Strangers” in the player above.
