Brooklyn indie favorite Grizzly Bear’s Ed Droste deleted his Twitter yesterday according to Consequence of Sound because he was attacked by Taylor Swift’s army of loyal fans after he posted several discontented tweets about the pop star, calling her a monster. Swift’s fans shot back, which led to the deletion of Droste’s twitter. Stereogum managed to grab some of the tweets before Droste said bye to the social media site.

Droste is pretty active in social media land. His Instagram is full of gorgeous landscapes from all over the world, and he lets his fans in on his Snapchat, @bamboosensation. Earlier this month, he and comedian Lara Marie Schoenhals made a parody Snapchat story of Schoenhals pretending to be T. Swift as she brought up all sorts of guests to her (living room) stage, just like how Swift has been bringing everyone from Beck to Julia Roberts on stage during her 1989 Tour. (NSFW language! Wear your headphones if you’re at work.)

This was in line with a disdainful tweet by Droste about Joan Baez performing with Swift.

Droste bowed out of the feud by deleting his Twitter.

Taylor Swift  has had her fair share of Twitter battles, so who’s next?
