2015 Grammy Nominees Announced: Taylor Swift, Meghan Trainor, Courtney Barnett and More

Nominees for the 2015 Grammy Awards have been announced, with all the usual fanfare and hubbub and complaining. The 58th annual awards will emanate from the Staples Center on CBS, Feb. 15. Nominees for the major categories are below.

Taylor Swift, unsurprisingly, was dominant off the commercial strength of her 1989 album, picking up 7 nominations and other artists such as The Weeknd and Ed Sheeran picked up multiple nominations. The lead went to Kendrick Lamar, who picked up a whopping 11 nominations across the many technical categories in addition to the majors. Perhaps the most interesting selection is Paste favorite Courtney Barnett, who managed to score a Best New Artist nomination only two albums into her career (which means the Grammy Awards are actually paying slightly more attention, apparently).
