Whether you’re a DC or Marvel fan, the comic book news and previews have been heavy this week in the world of on-screen adaptations. First, there was a lengthy new Batman V Superman trailer that showcased a Doomsday-heavy confrontation. Then, there was plenty of talk about the will-they-or-won’t-they inclusion of Spider-Man in Marvel’s Captain America: Civil War. Thankfully, we comic fans have little to worry about on these fronts. Doomsday tales—as well as Batman/Superman conflicts—are not on short supply in DC’s current world, and neither are Spider-Man/Avenger crossovers. It was a not-so-necessary reminder that it’s good to be a weekly comic book subscriber. Oh, we get some innovative, original titles, too! Marguerite Bennett and artist Ariela Kristantina’s Kafka-esque InSexts launches this week, as does Peter Milligan and Brett Parson’s new Vertigo foray, New Romancers.
