Happy Ending Productions has just announced the headliners for next year’s 12th annual SweetWater 420 Festival and they include the likes of Kid Rock, Ben Harper & The Innocent Criminals, Bastille, Ludacris, The Disco Biscuits and Cypress Hill.
The annual 3-day festival will include the SweetWater Experience tent, which offers patrons craft beer samplings, live comedy acts at the Lyrics & Laughter tent, a local artists market, food trucks, 420 Disco and Planet 420, an environmental and non-profit village that offers eco-friendly tips.
The festival, which kicks off on Earth Day, will feature more than 40 acts and will have a musical lineup of artists from various genres including hip hop, jam, rock, alternative, EDM and others.
In addition to the Planet 420 initiative, next year’s Fest will place a Bigbelly solar trash compactor in downtown Atlanta, much like this year’s Fest, which diverted 41,916 lbs. from landfills by recycling and composting. Along with an environmental focus, next year’s festival will hold charitable donations. This year’s Fest was able to donate nearly $55,000 to charities through the 420 Fest Gas South Corn Hole Challenge.
“Working towards our 12th 420 Fest, our goal was to continue to expand our diverse artist lineup and give patrons the best festival experience—all while keeping our ticket price affordable,” said Happy Ending Productions President Jennifer Bensch in a press release. “I’m also excited that our Fest opens on Earth Day so we will have an even stronger emphasis on our sustainability efforts, educating patrons to be as green as possible and giving back to our hometown community.”
The festival will be held in Atlanta’s Centennial Olympic Park,, April 22-24, 2016. Festival-goers can cop “Super Early Bird” 3-day general admission passes and 3-day VIP “Big Fish” at Sweetwater420fest.com.
