Skating Polly began six years ago – while members Kelli Mayo and Peyton Bighorse were still in middle school – with the self-release of their first album, Taking Over the World. Now, three additional albums later, with extensive U.S. and U.K. tours under their belt, the punk-infused pop duo are releasing their newest album, The Big Fit, on March 25 through Chap Stereo via Burnside Distribution.
We’ve got the exclusive premiere of the album’s relentlessly raw single, “Oddie Moore,” above. It’s a doozy, and it’ll leave you wanting more.
“When I first started writing ‘Oddie Moore,’ I never expected it to turn into a what it has,” said Peyton Bighorse. “Every single word means so much to me, and now it feels almost like I’m throwing my journals out for anyone to read. When we got the final mix back from Paul Kolderie, I was ecstatic. I put so much into it, and hearing the final version made me so happy. While I’m excited for everyone to hear it, it’s still a little terrifying putting it out there.”
