Festival lineup announcement season keeps chugging along. Today, Upstate New York’s Mountain Jam joined the party with a lineup featuring headliners Beck, Wilco, The Avett Brothers, Gov’t Mule, and Umphrey’s McGee.
Mountain Jam, now in its 12th year, has more in common with the festivals of Phish’s heyday and Bonnaroo’s nascency than it does with today’s mainstreamed bonanzas—it’s not far from the location of the original Woodstock, and the schedule focuses heavily on jam bands and Americana acts. Among the acts on the festival’s undercard are Brandi Carlile, Jason Isbell, Gary Clark Jr., and Courtney Barnett.
