if you’re already a fan of Amazon Echo and using Fitbit to keep up with your daily fitness, now is as good a time as any to start using them together as Echo’s voice assistant Alexa will now talk to you about your Fitbit performance.
The tech giant collaboration was first announced last Thursday, a week after Amazon Echo shared its new partnership with Capitol One. Fitbit users will be able to ask Alexa about their daily step count and how many calories they’ve burned, among a plethora of other features. She’ll also be there with helpful reminders and feedback on days you aren’t feeling so up to moving around.
You’ll also be able to use Amazon Echo with Fitbit’s other newly launched devices, including Fitbit Blaze and Fitbit Atla. On Amazon’s end, users will be able to use Fitbit in conjunction with Amazon Tap, Amazon Echo Dot, Amazon Fire TV, and the Fire TV stick.
