The perfect mix between unique fashion and wearable cozy is tough, but, when done right, it creates an effortless staple that you come to rely on week after week, year after year. That’s just one thing we love about New York-based design house, Loup. Started in 2009 by Danielle Ribner, Loup embodies cool girl chic, all while keeping classic cuts and vintage nods at the forefront.
For one, the designs are inspired by Parisian art, fashion and some of our favorite fashionable ladies (shout out to Brigitte Bardot, Jane Birkin and Françoise Madeleine Hardy). Of course, another thing we love is Ribner’s dedication to quality. From visiting cotton and denim mills each season to play with new washes and styles to only working with factories in New York’s Garment District to bring her designs to life, Loup thrives close to home, even with that city of lights edge.
And it’s no different for SS16. Full of fun denim styles and pops of red, blue and orange, the collection spans everything from playful jumpsuits to everyday summer dresses. That’s not even to mention Loup’s drool-worthy new collection of handmade microsuede bags. Actually, we wouldn’t mind if Loup completely took over our closets this coming season.
