Arcade Fire and David Byrne Cover Talking Heads at Benefit Concert

This past February, Arcade Fire members Regina Chassagne, Win Butler and Richard Reed Parry performed covers of Talking Heads songs with lead singer and founding member David Byrne at a benefit concert for pro-Haiti charity KANPE (co-founded by Chassagne). The illustrious, unexpected collaboration was unfortunately poorly documented, with only a few low-quality fan videos available for viewing online—until now.

The streaming service TIDAL has just released a compilation of the performances in a series of short, documentary-style videos, exclusively available on the TIDAL platform. The footage documents Arcade Fire and Byrne performing the Talking Heads classics “Road to Nowhere” and “This Must Be The Place (Naive Melody)” for the Montreal’s Society for Arts and Technology-sponsored charity show, as well as clips from the Preservation Jazz Hall Band’s performance.

You’ll need a TIDAL subscription or free trial to watch the official performance footage, but you can still catch the highlights here. Meanwhile, watch fan videos of the
