ComiXology Unlimited Offers Netflix-Like Comics Service

Comics News Netflix

If the term “binge-watch” is dictionary official, then it looks like “binge-read” may soon follow suit.

Today, online comics service comiXology announced its Unlimited subscription service. For $5.99 a month, users can read through “thousands of titles, including comic books, graphic novels & manga.”

The subscription would allow users to read through popular series like Image’s The Walking Dead, Dark Horses’ Hellboy and Oni Press’s Scott Pilgrim. Users can also download titles for temporary offline reading.

Although other publishers such as Marvel (which has its own Unlimited service) and DC Comics are available in the comiXology store, those titles will not be available for Unlimited subscribers. Users can identify titles included in the subscription by the service’s logo on select titles.

Currently, the comiXology Unlimited service is only available to U.S. customers, with international expansion “in the future.” A 30-day free trial subscription is currently being offered for those interested in giving it a test read.
