Preceding the release of their sixth studio album, Strange Little Birds, Garbage have released a video for their first single, “Empty.” Shot with a camera constantly revolving around the band in an appropriately empty room, the video is as dizzying as the song is catchy. Colored strobe lights remind us that Garbage are still a rebellious rock act, even after 20 years.
Strange Little Birds is Garbage’s first studio release of new material since 2012’s Not Your Kind of People. Last year, they put out a remastering of their debut self-titled album in celebration of their 20th anniversary. Strange Little Birds will hit stores on June 10 from the band’s own label, STUNVOLUME. Following the album release, Garbage has tour stops set up all over the U.S. See the full list of dates here, and watch the new video for “Empty” above.
