Ron Gallo, formerly the frontman of Philadelphia Toy Soldiers, has gone through a transformation in the recent couple of years. Joined by his band mates, Joe Bisirri and Dylan Sevey, he is playing a volatile 60-70s punk meets garage sound. His dry and witty lyrics reflect of themes like what it’s like being an artist in 2016, having a stalker, self-empowerment and the disastrous cycle of terrible parenting. When Ron and his bandmates showed up for the soundcheck at Brooklyn’s Baby’s All Right, they were all smiles and joking around in a way that if you were having a bad day you would forget about it immediately. Julia Drummond, was there to document the band’s preparation for the show as well their electrifying performance later that night.
