Song Premiere | Funeral Suits:
The Way Back
Check out the lyric video for the song here!
Formed in 2008, Irish alternative-rock band Funeral Suits have clocked up more than 13 million streams with their 2012 single "All Those Friendly People," earning themselves a huge YouTube following and devoted fan base.
The Dublin-based band is now breaking their silence since the release of their debut album, Lily Of The Valley -- a discreet nod to Breaking Bad -- almost four years ago. Their new EP, Tree of Life, will debut later this summer. (Funeral Suits will also be releasing an LP on Rubyworks, available on all streaming and download platforms April 1st.)
Read on as the band describes the profound journey they embarked on while writing Tree of Life:
"We wrote the new record in an apartment over a busy street, with windows open to sounds of life and the ocean in Brighton. We wrote overlooking a church on a quiet street in Shoreditch, and in cold, noisy industrial warehouses in Hackney and Tottenham. We wrote by the wild Atlantic on the West Coast of Ireland, and in Zen forests in Sweden, on doorsteps talking to strangers, to the rhythm and sights of the world passing by."
“It was a passage of self discovery, and finding out who we are to one another, islands apart, united in sound. I'm sure that is something that will continue." - Funeral Suits, 2016
