One of Paste’s favorite up-and-coming shows just got a little more accessible. As of today, the first season of Mr. Robot is streaming exclusively on Amazon Prime. (Funny, considering the show is staunchly anti-corporate, but we digress.)
U.S. members can stream or download Mr. Robot ’s first 10-episode season at no extra charge, making it free (as well as all-too-easy) for Prime users to binge their way to being caught up before the show returns for its second season in July. Mr. Robot is now also a Prime Video exclusive for viewers in the U.K., Germany, Austria and Japan.
For those of you who have thus far whiffed on watching this excellent show, the official synopsis is as follows:
follows Elliot (Rami Malek, The Pacific), a young programmer who works as a cyber-security engineer by day and as a vigilante hacker by night. Elliot finds himself at a crossroads when the mysterious leader (Christian Slater, The Adderall Diaries) of an underground hacker group recruits him to destroy the firm he is paid to protect. Compelled by his personal beliefs, Elliot struggles to resist the chance to take down the multinational CEOs he believes are running (and ruining) the world. The series also stars Portia Doubleday (Her), Carly Chaikin (Suburgatory) and Martin Wallström (Simple Simon).
We named Mr. Robot one of the best new shows of 2015. If you’re a Prime member who has been meaning to dive into it, here’s your chance.
returns for its sophomore run on July 13. Watch the season two trailer below.
