New York City is Getting an All Guacamole-Themed Restaurant

Food News Guacamole

Among all the edible absurdity that exists in the world, such as, say, chicken fries covered with Cheeto dust, some solace can be found in the glorious simplicity of guacamole. Even more solace can be found in the fact that an entire restaurant dedicated to guacamole will soon be opened.

Aptly opening on National Guacamole Day and Mexican Independence Day, GUAC Tacos + Tequila will open its doors at 4 p.m. EST this Friday, Sept. 16, in New York City’s East Village. The restaurant features tacos, tequila and other Mexican dishes, but most importantly, the menu offers 11 different types of guacamole. In addition to traditional guac, the restaurant will serve flavors such as smoked chipotle, fried golden bacon and exotic mango. And don’t forget the guac nachos.

For now, the restaurant’s only location is in NYC, but hopefully this will spur more restaurants of its kind in the future. Find the full GUAC Tacos + Tequila menu here.
