In an act of disclosure, or else a very cruel bluff, The Rolling Stones just released a mysterious 10-second video on their website hinting that they’ll release their new album in just three days, on Oct. 6. Or if not the album itself, more details about it. Or … what?
Here’s what we do know: The Stones have an LP of blues covers coming soon, which the band recorded in a mere three days. Eric Clapton joins them on two of the tracks—they bumped into him at the studio and spontaneously decided to record together.
Producer Dan Was told La Figaro, “The record sounds very crude, very authentic. It captures the essence of what they are.”
So what does this teaser mean? Well, you decide: watch it below.
