An American Werewolf In London is Getting a Remake from Max Landis, The Walking Dead Producers

Movies News An American Werewolf In London

Remakes are everywhere. According to Deadline, An American Werewolf In London is the latest cult classic that is now getting a remake. This new film will be produced by Robert Kirkman and David Albert of The Walking Dead.

The original 1981 comedy-horror film was directed by John Landis, and his son, Chronicle screenwriter Max Landis, is set to write and direct the remake. The news comes after John Landis and Anthony Waller (An American Werewolf in Paris) sealed a deal with Skybound Studios for the rights to the film, which the studio will produce in conjunction with Universal.

The original film celebrates its 35th anniversary this year, and it follows two kids on a hiking vacation that are attacked by a werewolf. The original opened to mixed reviews, but eventually became a cult classic. Let’s hope the remake does it justice.
