Haim Say Their Sophomore Album is Coming Soon

Pop-rock sisters Haim announced their sophomore album in an interview with EW published today.

In creating their first album since 2013’s Days Are Gone, the group returned to their childhood home and recorded songs in GarageBand before approaching producers Ariel Rechtshaid, who worked with the band on Days Are Gone, and Rostam Batmanglij, of Hamilton Leithauser + Rostam and formerly of Vampire Weekend.

Alana said bringing in too many people on the album would cause problems: “There’s three perfectionists in our band, and to add anymore people would be too much of a party”—it was that perfectionism that led to a three-and-half-year gap between albums. “We write everything, we play everything, and we help produce everything,” Danielle said. “These things take time, and we refuse to put out anything we’re not 100 percent in love with.”

Haim  are aiming for a summer release for the new album. Check out the two new songs they live-debuted back in May here, and enjoy Paste Cloud audio from their 2012 Daytrotter session below.
