Hitman may be a game about murdering people as efficiently and quietly as possible, but that doesn’t mean it can’t have a sense of humor, too. Back in July, players were tasked with killing Gary Busey, and now, just in time for the holidays, Agent 47 is tasked with killing the Wet Bandits from Home Alone.

Of course, the game can’t say that’s who the targets are, but the description of them makes it pretty clear who these guys are supposed to be:

Happy Holidays, 47. Your destination is Paris, France, and I must confess, this one is a bit of an odd one. Your targets are Harry ‘Smokey’ Bagnato and Marv ‘Slick’ Gonif, a pair of professional thieves currently breaking into the Palais De Walewska. Bagnato and Gonif are both American nationals now living in Paris after a series of botched break-ins and related violent crimes forced them to leave their home country.

It seems like Harry Lime and Marv Merchants, played by Joe Pesci and Daniel Stern, respectively, in Home Alone and Home Alone 2, have changed their names, but they haven’t put that much work into the new ones. “Bagnato” is Italian for wet, and “gonif” is Yiddish for “thief.” The Wet Bandits changed their last names to “Wet Bandits.”

According to the Hitman wiki, there are achievements for killing the two in an accident, knocking Marv out with bricks, and killing them in an “exploding propane flash.” Though donations to the World Cancer Research Fund are encouraged, the “Holiday Hoarders” update is free, so you don’t have any excuse to not finish what Macaulay Culkin started all those years ago.
