Since releasing debut LP Everybody Wants in 2014, The Struts have tirelessly lobbed their addictive, arena-groomed singalong rock through incessant touring and festival stops. The quartet remains one of the acts that can be enjoyed without knowing a single note of their music; vocalist Luke Spiller revels in elaborate showmanship and costumes composited from the British Invasion to the ‘70s sugarpit of eyeliner glam. Coupled with hook-heavy singles like “Could Have Been Me” and “Kiss This,” the group’s live shows have earned a sterling reputation. Photographer Sarah Midkiff spent some time with the band during their stop at Warsaw in Brooklyn last Saturday, capturing behind-the-scenes downtime and their rollicking show. The Struts are currently on tour.
