Governors Ball 2017 Lineup Announced

Not one to be outdone by Coachella, Governors Ball has announced its lineup for the 2017 iteration of the festival, and it’s fairly well stacked. Tool continues their steady touring schedule, while hip-hop darling Chance the Rapper and synth rockers Phoenix (who are allegedly working on a new album) round out the other headliners.

In terms of other eye-popping names, Tame Impala’s Kevin Parker is apparently going up against Mark Ronson in a versus match, and fellow Aussies The Avalanches are bringing their sample-delic heaven to Randall’s Island. And of course, Wu-Tang. Wu-Tang. Wu-Tang. (You’ll find Paste Cloud audio from a 1999 Wu show below.)

Governors Ball runs Friday, June 2 through Sunday, June 4 on the aforementioned Randall’s Island in New York City. VIP passes go on sale Friday, Jan. 6 at noon EST. You can find the full festival lineup below, or on the Governors Ball website here, and find ticket info here.
