Live Photos: The Lone Bellow in New York

The Lone Bellow  quickly worked its way into Paste’s heart with its self-titled solo album, and built a permanent residence there with the 2015 release Then Came the Morning. (They also worked their way onto our best albums and best live acts of the year.) The Park Slope trio of Kanene Pipkin, Brian Elmquist and Zach Williams built their rich, amber Americana on a foundation of hard-fought family and heart, and damn straight that harmony reaches new heights during their live shows. Paste photographer Adam McCullough captured the band’s joyous, sold-out show at The Bowery Ballroom last Thursday, which included an encore cover of Bonnie Raitt’s “I Can’t Make You Love Me” alongside openers Bailen.
