Stevie Wonder, Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers, Maroon 5 Headlining New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Fest

The New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, a week-long musical celebration in true New Orleans style, always boasts stand-out lineups of unique and diverse talent, and it appears 2017’s will be no different. They announced their extensive lineup today with a bill topped by Stevie Wonder, Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers, and Maroon 5, along with countless great names all the way down the poster, from Usher & The Roots and Alabama Shakes, to Earth, Wind & Fire, Wilco and The Meters, to The Lone Bellow and Margo Price, plus plenty of local flavor with bigger names like Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue, Dr. John, Big Freedia, and Jon Batiste and Stay Human, and blues and brass bands galore.

This year also promises an entire section of musicians from Cuba, likely in celebration of the recently restored relations between the two countries. Along with tributes and celebrations of a number of artists including Louis Armstrong, Buckwheat Zydeco and Pete Fountain.

The festival takes place from April 28 to May 7. See the enormous full lineup below, and watch some videos via the Paste Cloud, including a 1988 Tom Petty set, a young Alabama Shakes at the Paste offices in 2011, and The Lone Bellow performing at the Paste Cloud launch party in 2015, along with audio from Margo Price’s 2015 Daytrotter set, which includes a Father John Misty cover.
