If you’re not so fond of President-elect Donald Trump, but are a big fan of, oh, let’s say most of indie music, then you’re in luck.
Our First 100 Days is a forthcoming music subscription compilation that will feature a new song every day for the first 100 days of the Trump presidency, and the list of artists contributing to it is pretty damn impressive: The Mountain Goats, Toro y Moi, Angel Olsen, Mitski, Whitney, Tim Heidecker, Will Oldham (Bonnie “Prince” Billy), Avey Tare (of Animal Collective), How to Dress Well, Jens Lekman and The Range will all feature on the compilation, which will start at 12 p.m. EST on Inauguration Day and is available for a minimum donation of $30.
Started by Secretly Group and 30 Days 30 Songs, all of the compilation’s proceeds will go to causes that could be severely stymied under a Trump presidency, including: The People’s Climate Movement, Southerners on New Ground, Hoosier Action and Cosecha.
According to Phil Waldorf of Secretly Group, “Not only is it a collection of great music, it is the music community coming together, supporting many important organizations, who will be the first line of defense against the policies of the new administration.”
