Tim Heidecker looks to be starting a new (sort of) interview series titled The Tim Heidecker Experience: Music. The first episode was released today and features the comedian/occasional musician sitting down and drinking scotch with Sam France and Jonathan Rado of Foxygen to talk about their forthcoming fourth album, Hang, Rod Stewart and Donald Trump.
Heidecker plays it characteristically disinterested, and gives more time to his own thoughts than the band’s, which is exactly what one would hope for with him. We can only hope he brings in some more bands to experience him, musically.
Hang comes out Jan. 20 via Jagjaguwar and the band has released a handful of songs already. They head out on a U.S. tour starting March 21.
Heidecker released the non-comedy album In Glendale last year and also contributed the humorous “Trump’s Pilot” to the anti-Trump 30 Days, 30 Songs project.
