2017 Oscars Live Results

The 89th Annual Academy Awards kick off in a little under an hour, which gives you just enough time to finalize your Oscar pool picks, pour up an appropriately red carpet-worthy cocktail and get good and ready for the ceremony with Paste’s 2017 preview.

This year promises to be an interesting one, and we’ll be here to update you as the winners are unveiled. As our 2017 Oscars preview points out, tonight’s awards show will certainly “present its share of upsets, disappointments and outright cause for rage.”

But for now, all we have are questions. Can anyone stop the runaway hype train that is La La Land? Just how short-changed will Barry Jenkins’ brilliant Moonlight be? How badly will Donald Trump’s feelings be hurt by the inevitable politically charged acceptance speeches?

The answers are almost here. Watch this space to follow the results in real-time, starting along with the Jimmy Kimmel-hosted ceremony at 8:30 p.m. EST. In the meantime, you can check out the nominees for each category below—winners are in bold.
