Saturday Night Live
resisted the pressure to bring in more outside actors to play Trump administration members last night, but the show couldn’t help itself from double-dipping on last week’s White House Press Conference sketch. Melissa McCarthy returned as Trump’s press secretary Sean Spicer in last night’s cold open, and although it followed the same basic pattern as last week’s sketch, McCarthy’s tour de force performance insured that it’s just as funny as the first one. And there’s an added bonus as Kate McKinnon reveals her impression of Jeff Sessions, our new attorney general, whose attitude towards civil rights kept him from being appointed to a judgeship over 30 years ago. You can check the whole clip out above, and if you missed the first one, you can find that here.
